Had to use the emergency contact no, and a member of staff came out to help. After failing to get it to work she opened reception and checked us in manually. The hotel was quiet and safe, staff were very pleasant and customer focused. Beds were very comfortable, we had a great walk around the lake that was behind the property. Rooms very clean and welcoming.

"A beautiful hotel inside and out. We had a family room with the pull out sofa which turned into 2 single beds for the children. It was spacious and comfortable with lovely finishing touches. The welcome gift (games) for the children was a nice surprise. Really modern and eco friendly. "
"We were quite cross to find when we arrived to check in that the hotel was closed! There was a sign on the door to say that the hours of business were from 1200hrs-1400hrs and 1900hrs to 2200hrs. I didn't see any such information when I made the booking, not on the booking confirmation, which said check-in was from midday, and although the hotel emailed me to confirm the booking and gave the information about the hours of service, I never saw the message until we arrived at 4pm, tired, hot, wanting a shower and a cold drink after a long drive! I would not have booked this hotel had I had that information at the time. It may be given somewhere, but it should be prominently displayed, as I would say it is pretty critical information. It seems extraordinary to me that a hotel should be closed any time during the day. However, we were greeted warmly and there is a nice restaurant. The room was very small, but comfortable. No lift, our room was on the 2nd floor, but we were reallocated to the first floor, as we are not spritely!"
