Fosshotel was clean, easy to find, had convenient and adequate parking, the views were great, the bed comfortable, the lighting and number of plug-ins sufficient, and the elevator fast. As usual, the desk might have been a bit larger given that it needed to hold the hotpot/cups/etc as well as the laptop/etc we'd brought with us. Although it was not an issue for us, the curtains did an excellent job of blocking out the light. We didn't try the restaurant.
We so enjoyed the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. We appreciated the "honest" bar, and enjoyed our wine. The beds were great, plenty of light in the room. The only downside is you are expected to pay to enjoy the sauna. After traveling so far to come to the fjords, we were disappointed and chose not to add to the bill.

Its not a place you stumble upon by chance, it's specifically the closest place you can stay to the puffin and other bird colonies at Latrabjarg Cliffs. And this is an area mostly serviced by rough, unpaved roads, so being close makes it much more likely that you will go and see the birds multiple times, even during a short stay.
