Scranton is very much part of what's known as The Rust Belt, a wide swathe of America where once prosperous industrial towns have fallen on harder times, so it has a somewhat neglected air, but I enjoyed my few days visiting Steamtown very much.

Scranton is an under rated city and only improving by the day. Worth a visit there and to the other surrounding areas that have a lot to see and do.

We stayed here for the purpose of touring Steamtown, which was amazing. We were not interested in anything else there. Staying at this hotel fit in with the theme of our trip.

There's so much history here we're definitely coming back again and staying here again for sure
"We always love it here. Yes, the hotel is aging and declining but the most important thing is that the management is trying their best to keep up with the amenities. The employees are friendly and helpful. For the price, that’s good enough for us. The location and amenities like free hot buffet is good and a trail to walk our dog is a big win to us. We love their outdoor area and the Shogun restaurant! We keep coming back. Actually booking now for our next visit. "
