You can spend time browsing the exhibits at Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic during your trip to Lunenburg Waterfront. Stroll along the waterfront or experience the area's museums.
Wander cobblestone streets lined with colorful wooden buildings in this UNESCO World Heritage site. Sail past lighthouses on a schooner tour or feast on fresh lobster at bustling waterfront restaurants.
Lunenburg is a cute little town. Lots of dining and shopping options. We missed the Bluenose but checked out the marine museum. Please note Lunenburg is VERY HILLY, the streets are very steep so wear sturdy walking shoes.

Though most gift shops and museums are closed in the off season, we enjoyed driving around and taking pictures of scenic beauty without the crowds.

Loved Lunenburg, so quaint! Would highly recommend as a visit & destination!
"This is the best hotel/motel we have stayed in on this NS trip. It might not have the exterior charm of the Lunenburg waterfront but it’s so clean and easy to access. Lunenburg is walkable (1km away) if you like walking as well.
No hassles. You get a code texted to you prior to check in and it’s self-managed from there.
Quiet, even though it was fully booked. Comfy beds.

"As lovely a B&B as the lovely town Lunenburg, in which Rose & Thistle is located 💐
Friendly & knowledgeable owners and staff, delicious breakfast, walking distance from tourist/downtown area, interesting library in the beautiful home.
Stay at R&T. You’ll be very happy you did!!"
"Great spot to stay when visiting Lunenburg! Such a great view of the harbour. Liz at the Grand Banker Restaurant below was awesome! Thanks for the great service, we hope to be back! "
"We loved EVERYTHING about this place: Margaret, our host, was warm and welcoming. The accommodations were comfortable. Continental breakfast with home-made goodies was a good way to start the day. And Mahone Bay is one of our favourite destinations in Nova Scotia. "
"From the moment we arrived, the inn was top notch! They showed us to our room and showed us the lovely balcony that overlooked the bay and encouraged us to use it- we did! The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The location was right in the middle of lovely Lunenburg. So glad we booked here!"
"We just loved our stay here. Everything has been renovated including new furniture, beds, bathrooms, throughout. The owner made sure Everything was to our liking. Sitting on the front porch of our cottage with a book and a coffee taking in the ocean and the wildlife including a golden eagle one day was a real treat. 5 star. "
