Detroit Lakes is a great little town to spend some time on the lake, with some great restaurants. The new Thomas Dambo troll installation was a fun way to explore the area as there are 5 giant troll statues and 3 portals to find.

Good
Detroit Lakes is a charming place and I was fortunate enough to experience some of the local establishments. The Lakeside Tavern & Brewery had an awesome brisket platter and the beer was cold! The Northern Bar was a fun little bar!

Excellent
Winter getaway. Town was easy to drive around in, plenty of services available. Has all the basics and then some. Done some shopping and found everything we needed.
"It was a great few days on the beach. It was so handy to have the restaurant at the property as well. Service wasn’t always very fast, but the staff was very nice and helpful!"
"Really nice place to stay. The guy from the front desk was very friendly, helpful and kind. I don’t know his name but is a good person. Keep up your great service. Next the black cleaning lady dauphine. I was helpful and friendly. Thanks to all workers. "
