Unfortunately, the weather was not very good during our stay on Rhodes Island, but spending time in the comfortable rooms or in the library area—reading books or playing chess—was a precious part of our holiday. "We couldn’t fault the staff or the accommodation both were excellent. The only down side was the demolition and building of a new hotel across the road, if we had come for a beach holiday we probably wouldn’t have been inconvenienced, but ours was hospital visits and treatment so on our return to the room there wasn’t really an escape."
