"Excellent hotel for a stay in Kyoto. Staying near a train station is a must and this was 10 steps from the exit. So convenient when traveling with luggage. Staff was very welcoming and able to assist with any questions or recommendations. Simple restaurants and convenient stores nearby and only 4 train stops to main Kyoto station. Walking distance to imperial palace and Niko-jo castle. Room was spacious for Japanese standards and beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend."

"It’s a great little hotel in a very quiet part of Kyoto. If you wish to get away from all the crowds and just experience how the locals live, this is a hotel for you. We had a room with a private onsen bath, which was just perfect at the end of all the sightseeing. Special thanks to the staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel very comfortable. "Super location and quiet room with real Japanese style bed on floor. Practical for trips into town or further since bus stops are right beside the building. Locally within walking distance there are ramen restaurants also temples and the Philosophers path. Suited me perfectly as I don't spend much time in hotel I like to be out taking photos. "The host is very welcoming and enthusiastic to share places around. This is a traditional Japanese style living on tatami and Japanese futon along with a shared public bath. You will have the best rest sleeping on those futon in this quiet neighborhood. 7-11, Daiso, coin laundry and buses to major attractions are all within 5min of walk. "
