"A beautiful hotel in a perfect location in Grasmere away from the more crowded areas of the south Lake District. The hotel is clean and well-maintained with helpful staff and a very welcome health spa with jetted pool, sauna and steam room. The location on a beautiful lake opposite the historic William Wordsworth Dove Cottage really could not be more ideal. A five star experience: we extended our stay due to the excellence of the hotel and it's ideal location."

"Set in a beautiful village this accomodation stands out withbits exterior decor. Parking is a short walk away and not onsite but this isnt gar and not a problem. We were greeted by a wonderful ladybwhonwas full of smiles, verybfriendly and appeared tonreally enjoy her job. She showed us to our room and left us to unpack. The room was big enougb fornthe 2 of us and had a good sized ensuite shower room. The rooms facilities were excellent. Smart tv, wifif and smart heating as well as a kettle...

"We had a family room, it was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated. The adjoining room with the bunk bed was very spacious. This is an old building, so no elevator and narrow corridors but we had help with our luggage up the stairs. Location is adjacent to the pedestrian area (lovely for a walk around) and parking is off-site about 5 min walk away. There is a bar and restaurant on-site and the food was good. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with a fruit and cereal...
