Hotels in Bishops Lydeard

This hotel is 650 years old and the owner is happy to share quite a bit of history about it. Breakfast was excellent. Just know that the kitchen closes at 9:30 AM. We had room one which was the oldest room in the hotel and had an incredible bathtub.

This is the place to really get away from it all, enjoy great accommodation, and a yummy breakfast watching a woodpecker and other countless birds outside of the window.

We enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of Nikki and Jim. They live on property and are accessible to assist with anything we needed. The bedroom was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and had a wonderful shower with soft towels. The surrounding area to The School House is picturesque and calming. We would definitely return to Woolavington.

Absolutely lovely bed and breakfast accommodation with friendly hosts and great attention to detail. A warm welcome from Izzy and Peter, matched by comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast served in pleasant surroundings. Great access to Exmoor and the coast. Would definitely recommend!

First class from start to finish.

This is a 17th century pub with rooms above. The only reason i gave the property condition 4 stars is because it is not air conditioned. It is a quaint fun place to stay in a very old English village. The pub and associated restaurant are excellent.

Lovely old pub with character. Great full English breakfast and very friendly staff. There is street parking available but would recommend the parking behind the church opposite. It's only a couple of quid for all day. Make sure that you try out the selection of ales and ciders available at the bar.

Wonderful stay! My wife and I, from San Francisco, in company with a cousin from Oceanside, California stayed here about three years ago while visiting my Brother, who lives here. I’m here this week to help him celebrate his birthday. It was a surprise for him so I planned to stay in the hotel for three days, not knowing if I would be able to stay at his house or not. The location was charming and convenient with safe free parking. The owners/ managers were very nice and catered to our every need.

Dinner and breakfast were both good. Good variety and quality of food.

We had no complaints at all.
