Excellent location. Quiet yet in the middle of, and close to, everything! Really don't even need a rental car but to do other island activities we wanted one. The beach itself was gorgeous and serene. Loved the location, Kaanapali, and the Whaler!

I LOVE Kannapali, and I generallt hate tourist spots!! Kaanapali is just so lovely, the boardwalk is amazing, all the restaurants are so good (unusual for tourist areas), the beach is gorgeous. I can't say enough, I try to go once a year.

Black Rock is a must see for snorkeling. Whaler's Village has great shopping, souvenirs, and dining. The beach is clean and the water fairly calm since it's in the channel.

Though there are many beaches here, getting access to them is very tricky. public parking is non existing. You have to pay for parking everywhere. The one parking lot they have is 90% reserved for shoppers.

We wanted to come and support the island after the recent fires. We understand how important tourism is to the people of Hawaii. We truly felt appreciated and were so happy that we made this beautiful island part of our vacation.

This area of town is obviously very touristy, but there are some nice local spots right across the street from the hotel -- some restaurants and food trucks and some shopping, including a grocery store.
