Hotels near Fort William Henry Museum Lake George

"I booked 4 rooms for what I thought was the night of May 27th for a group of 6 friends on hotels.com for this resort but I actually mistakenly made the reservation for the following week June 3rd. When we arrived at the resort on the 27th, they graciously accepted us and worked us into their schedule. They basically bent over backwards to accommodate us. Everything was perfect, clean rooms, plenty of parking for 6 motorcycles. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this resort."

"This motel fit the bill for being close enough to the village but away from the crowds and traffic. MaryEllen, the proprietor, was lovely to talk to and very accommodating. The rooms are on the smaller side but have been tastefully updated. We opted for a king size bed (a bit difficult to find at some of the smaller motels) and enjoyed a second floor room with a nice view of the lake. The motel is centrally located to several attractions. We will definitely return."

Our beds and pillows were really comfortable, the shower was great, and our kids loved the outdoor space. Could it use a facelift? I mean, sure. But supporting local businesses and kind people is important! Will absolutely stay again next time we’re in town."

"It was small but well appointed. A bit hard to see as the sign isn't on the main road and the highway noise was there but so am enjoyable stay! The owners are very nice and had lots of recommendations."

"We had a great experience at the Sundowner in lake George. It was right on the lake and the beach, dock, Kayaks and fire pit with a huge plus. the room was nicely decorated as a log cabin feel. Would definitely return."
