"The location is off the beaten path and the hotel is an older hotel...however it has recently been updated so it was very clean with new beds, fresh paint and upgraded bathrooms. We upgraded to the biophoton room, Had a great sleep and felt very rested when we left. I would definitely stay here again. Only 13 miles from Galena and great shopping in Dubuque. "Our stay was Easter weekend. Front Desk was helpful, efficient, and friendly. Waterpark was the reason for this stay. Have stayed at this facility a couple of times previously. Included breakfast was O.K. Door to Riverwalk was locked for re-entry at 9:30 AM on the day of checkout. Stopped at Tony Roma's twice during our visit. Orders from the bar were very, very slow. "

"This was a 4 night stay. Very quiet. Beds seem a bit dated, but were ok. Television channel selection was excellent. Great location. Anything neede is close by. 2 floors of rooms but no elevator. Im always sayisfied staying here and the price per night is unbeatable. The place is secure, clean and quiet. "

"I haven't stayed at this property since it was a Ramada Inn, I think. It has greatly, greatly improved and I think it is probably one of the nicest places near downtown Galena. You can tell it was re-done versus, a new building, but its clean, bright and fresh. Nice breakfast, nice bar area, and the spa seems to be nice too. "
