"The place was very clean and quiet. It felt like we had it all to ourselves. The kimono station was a plus that’s we didn’t expect. Free coffee/tea in the lobby was nice. Shower and toilet were awesome. We loved the place and it was in a more residential area which made it more authentic. Walkable to a beautiful Shinto shrine garden and Nijo Castle. Sanjo street is a nice walk also. "

"The hotel is mostly self service but the rooms are very spacious (for Japan standard) and is very well connected to JR (7 min walk) and one stop from kioto station. And also has a train station. Local options for breakfast around "

"셀프 체크인 -> 3박4일 1200엔 나옴. 니조역 도보로 1~2분(구글지도 안찍히는 옆 길 대놓고 있음) 위치 좋음. 로손, 세븐일레븐 근처에 있고 LIFE마트 근처에 있고 다이소 근처에 있음. 방에 전자레인지, 커피포트 있었고, 1회용 칫솔, 치약, 면도기 등등 있었고, 샴푸 바디워시 컨디셔너 들어있음. 매일매일 청소 해 주시는 듯. 나갔다 오면 수건이 교체 되어 있었음. 상당히 만족스러웠던 숙소. :)"

"Staying at Sarangbang was quite great. The train stations, convenience store and some other stores are just walkable distance. The staffs were accommodating and the room was good enough for us to stay. Thank you!"

"Very good location, close to a convenient train station, 8 minutes ( when taking the local train ) from Kyoto station. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Careful with train and bus times when getting back late , as the local train stops before midnight. An Uber ride from Kyoto station may be around US 23. Thanks, I’ll consider this place anytime I’m back in Kyoto "
