All the rooms are different which makes them interesting. Comfortables beds, though pillows could be softer. Free bottle of champagne in suite was nice surprise. Loved the tea and pressed coffee set up in room for mornings or chilly afternoons. A steamer in the closet is better than ironing board. I have stayed in several different hotels in Amsterdam. This is the best hotel for the average person -- noting I am sure there are some nicer hotels that would cost $400 a night. This hotel is perfectly located between the Museum Quarter, the old section, next to Rembrandt Square, very close to the mile long walking mall, near other great shopping streets. Walking distance to the Jordaan district which is my favorite area. The hotel provides first rate breakfasts that spare no expense. ...

The property is unique. The commons areas are welcoming and convenient. We stayed here to be close to the art museums, and if you can dodge the bikers and trams for a five-eight minute walk, you will love the experience. The cocktail spread was all we needed for that evening meal, though we did find nearby restaurants that were fun. Breakfast at the hotel was delightful. Most wonderful was the kindness of the lovely women running the hotel. We felt welcomed in Amsterdam thanks to them.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Conveniently located close to a tram stop. Only negative thing is they don’t have a ramp for luggages and stroller. You have to carry your luggage a few flight of stairs going into the lobby

Loved the fun and vibrant decorations, all staff was so kind and welcoming, the rooms were spacious and clean and in such a good location to the city.

BEST HOTEL IN AMSTRDAM

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The hospitality of the staff was outstanding. Would definitely stay at this apartment again.

The hotel is close enough to several very good restaurants and pubs. The locals were very friendly and accommodating and we were able to try a number of local cuisines. The tram is across the street and a very short ride to the city center.

I stayed at The Niu for 8 nights. The staff was great. The hotel itself had a beautiful modern feel and a memorizing view.

Pleasant modern hotel in Ijburg, part of what I'd call Amsterdam docklands. Frequent trams to Central Station, less than than 15 minutes away, with ability to transfer before that to a tramline to Rijksmuseum etc. Upshot: don't be put off by its appearance of being remote. Staff, without exception, were very friendly. Free drinks were a nice touch. We know Amsterdam well. We'd stay here again.

Really the perfect hotel for the museum tour, in easy walking distance to all of them. The canal is lovely and quiet, tons of busy restaurants in a 4-5 block radius, lively night-life, friendly, busy, fun. Lobby recently renovated and very enjoyable with a view of the canal -- the breakfast service is superlative. What's not to love? If you stay, book a panoramic room, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely hotel in the heart of everything. The rooftop restaurant/bar is amazing. Would stay there again.
