"Shangri-La Vancouver was an exceptional stay with respectful staff, a large room size for two, and a location at the heart of downtown. The daily evening service was appreciated, with kind staff and many complimentary goods. The included breakfast at Carlino (bib gourmand) also had a calm ambiance, alongside its great menu and city view. It was walking distance from most if not all the prominent landmarks and locations of the downtown area."

We loved the bedding, how quiet the room was and how conveniently it was located to the event we were attending at the Orpheum. "This is a nice property in a very convenient location, close to False Creek and the Aquabus. It’s also a short walk to English Bay and the Vancouver beaches. The staff were very courteous and efficient. The rooftop common kitchen is a nice touch, though I did not have time to use it. The rooms have a bit of wear and tear but are comfortable and mostly up-to-date. Granville Street to the north can be a little sketchy but it’s still a safe neighbourhood in a very safe city.
