"This is the only place I stay in Custer, with over 10 years of traveling there for art shows. The Chalet is a historic motel with charming, very clean rooms. This is a safe, healthy and refreshing stay. Only a few steps to a local favorite coffee shop, the Mickelson Trail and downtown. Rooms are quiet and comfortable."

"The Power House Lodge was a great choice for us while we visited Custar State Park. We enjoyed the simple motel section compared to the small cabins because that was more than sufficient for our two night stay. The room was clean, had all we needed for relaxing and and resting. The scenery from our room was beautiful. The staff were pleasant, welcoming, and encouraging. Their resturant was wonderful as well. The food great and staff very helpful in selecting our meal."

"This is obviously an older hotel but it is very well maintained. Clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly…gotta love the mint chocolate chip cookies! Parking is a little cramped but overall a nice place to stay 😃"
