"Very friendly welcome and lovely spacious room. A thermos of fresh milk was ready for us every evening on the reception counter for tea/ coffee in our room the next morning. Breakfast was delicious with excellent selection of fruit, yoghurt, granola and choice of cooked breakfast. The location is excellent too. A short 10 minute walk and you're on the beach at Instow. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. "

"A toilet flush issue on arrival at my room which I mentioned to reception on my way for dinner in the bar. A guy came and found me to say they were unable to fix it that evening and so would like to move me. He offered to move all of my bags while I finished dinner. I was so grateful after a very long drive that day. He was great at breakfast one morning too, really efficient and a credit to the team. "Great family resort with beautiful gardens. We had a room overlooking a lovely garden that is great when you have pets and a small patio area to sunbathe. Breakfast was great and restaurant food ok. The Exeter Inn a few mins walk away is pet friendly and food is excellent. Indoor pool area was lovely and not very busy. Great fitness room as well."

"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"We chose this cottage due to its location in Appledore and that it's dog friendly. We stayed in Apple Tree cottage. It was a lovely surprise to see what lay behind the No 5 door. The cottage was clean and cosy. Tastefully decorated. It was well equipped with what you need for a comfortable stay. Free WiFi. TV with Net Flix etc.Nice bathroom with bath and shower. It is close to all the amenities Appledore has to offer. It is an ideal base to discover North Devon, which is beautiful. The garden...
