"Booked this hotel last minute as a girls overnight trip for my daughter who was turning 16. When the front desk staff found out it was her birthday they upgraded our room to one with a better view and gave her cookies and chocolate. The front desk staff were very sweet and personable. The room was great, clean, and I had no complaints. We spent a lot of the evening at Powells book store which is a quick walk and got burgers for dinner at mcmenamins. "Perfect location. The rooms are beautiful, spacipus, and uniquely decorated. Ive stayed here a few times, with this past one being for a concert at MODA. My friends and I had conjoining rooms on a higher floor. The only recommendation I would make is to have coffeemakers in the room, even though it is complementary downstairs. Overall, RS is a perfect hotel for your time in downtown Portland. "
