"The room was very spacious for the price. The staff in general were very pleasant to deal with. Not sure why a security person sat outside, looking unkempt and yawing all day - unnecessary. Some of the taps in the shower needs fixing. The street leading to the hotel was all dug up. Seems like a Bangalore issue for ever, but otherwise a comfortable stay. "

"If you want an affordable, safe, quiet stay in this area, Golden Lotus is for you. If you're used to western hotels, this may not be your thing. This is a classic, old-school Indian hotel with all of the charms and oddities you may expect. The rooms are very large, the staff is helpful and friendly (but not in the overly sycophantic way of the 5 star Indian Hotels).
