Pros: - Ski-in, ski-out - Great, friendly staff Cons: - Old, run-down hotel - Poor quality food in the restaurant - Flies in the bedroom - Bedsheet and towels are low quality linen cloth - Had no hot water for showers through-out stay - Cleaners came into room despite a Do Not Disturb sign on door - No kettle, iron or safe - Lift was often broken"

"This is a perfect Hotel close to the ski lift with a nice pool and sauna. The breakfast is amazing. Highly recommend. The only downside is that they do not have a self service laundry facilities -- could be very useful for skiers."

"The hotel was beautiful and the breakfast included was a treat! The facilities made so much sense from the ski room being free and easily accessed from the street to lock your gear up and get dressed for the mountain. Bus stations to get to the lifts are close by, we felt this was very well located. The spa and the pool were the cherry on top. We wish we had more days to enjoy the facilities! The view food the matterhorn were also spectacular."

"Location: The hotel has been renovated in recent years, and you can tell! It’s beautifully done. Sat further up Zermatt the views are brilliant, but still within easy walking distance to the main stations; Zermatt Train station, Sunnegga Funicular, Gornergrat Station (our fav!) and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Room: We stayed in a Double Room Matterhorn View (room number 601) - although no balcony the windows are plenty big enough to get a fantastic view. Definitely recommend upgrading to...

"Zermama was a highlight of our trip to Switzerland. The entire staff was wonderful and attentive. Our room had an unbelievable view of the Matterhorn. We happily donned the fake fur coats to sit on our balcony and enjoy coffee in the morning as Zermatt came alive. We ate in the restaurant and found the food to be excellent. "Hotel Bristol is a comfortable hotel in the heart of Zermatt, about a 10 or 15 minute walk from the train station but they do offer a shuttle service. Fabulous location with stunning views of the Matterhorn. Very convenient for getting gondolas up the mountains if you’re going hiking. Fantastic breakfast buffet in the morning. "
