From the moment we checked in (on our honeymoon) until we left 6 days later our experience was awesome. The general manager took the time to learn our name, greet us upon arrival and again as we left. Fellow guests were all friendly. My rental car's battery died and they took care of everything while we were off playing golf. The food, especially daily breakfast, was fabulous. All needs were anticipated without request necessary. All-in-all, a great trip (I highly recommend Barbados as well).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Butterfly Beach Hotel. The whole place was very clean and bright. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the rooms were really spacious. We met several guests who were repeat guests, and we would certainly return to Butterfly Beach Hotel on future trips to Barbados. We had the opportunity to meet the owner and it was evident that the entire staff takes great pride in offering a wonderful experience for guests.
This was by far the best vacation I have ever been on (which has been quiet a few). The resort was 15 minutes from the airport, it was stunning with amazing views of the ocean, beach was clean, the staff was extremely accommodating and everyone seemed happy to be there and to help you. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this really cute apartment. Our apartment was #15, and it became our little home. The air conditioning and fan were welcome as the mornings in B'dos became warm quite quickly. The staff was very helpful and resolved our TV issues within minutes. Mrs. Brown is a sweetheart and made us feel very welcomed. The apartments are within minutes to a main road with restaurants, banks, super markets, and the beach and board walk.
After reading a few of the reviews on this site I was wary, but we had an 18-hour layover and needed a place to sleep. I figured, whatever, we can at least just sleep there. We LOVED it. The Abidah was a wonderful getaway for me. I traveled solo and wanted absolute peace and quiet and it provided that. The staff were very friendly, the drinks were great and the food was good.
My only suggestion is more variety of food during the week. Also, have some snacks available if someone wants a snack in between meals.

It was close to the main road which makes it very easy to get a local bus and go to the city or beach and also very helpful receptionist. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your traveling to Barbados.
The property is centrally located, especially for Oistins. It is located off Lodge Road, so it’s on a bus route with buses readily available for going to Bridgetown and surrounding areas. The host was impeccable. Wi-Fi was reliable and consistent.
I never review any place I've been, but this place really exceeded my expectations.
First off, I should say: The staff said this was their busy season, with occupancy around 90%. But, it didn't feel that way. No problem getting a table at the restaurants, no problems finding a place to sit at any of the pools... even if we came down at noon, there were always beach chairs available.

Ocean Spray is the place to stay if you are looking for escape from the tourist area of the island. You will need a car if staying at this location or take the bus which is what we did. The bus was very easy to navigate once the staff explained how to ride it and we used the bus every day. There is a small grocery store up the road a short walk for any essentials needed. I arrived late at night for a stay at The Sands right down the street, but I didn't want to spend the money for the all-inclusive resort for the first night, just to immediately go to bed and then leave to go sailing the next morning. So, I booked my first night at Melrose to save a couple hundred dollars.
Melrose's rooms are more like small apartments than hotel rooms. It's not luxurious, but it's clean and I had zero issues, and it's equipped so that you could easily stay there for a while...
