Stanley was a standout for us. Visiting in winter has its drawbacks but none that would hold us back from doing it all again. The historic site at Highfields draws history in and the pub was excellent for food and service

Excellent
Stanley is a lovely little town with everything you need for a nice visit but not too much of anything. The Fairy Penguins and a trip up the Nut are a must.

Great walk on The Nut Circuit. And, according to my wife, a good scallop pie at The Nut Cafe. Me, personally, I loved the iced coffee.

Stanley is a lovely place to visit. The only negative is the lack of evening eating options
"Beautiful cottage on the beach and very clean and tidy. Had everything we could need for our couple of nights stay and lovely surrounding area to discover. Will stay again for sure."
"Very welcoming open hosts who offer lovely facilities and great guest care. When i jokingly added "boerewors" (unique South African sausage) to the breakfast menu selection, the host drove to Burnie to source some (not easy to find) and lo and behold it appeared on my plate for breakfast! Fantastic service - above and beyond!"
"I absolutely love the style of this property and garden. It is very relaxing and we were lucky to have all the common areas to ourselves being the off season. "
