"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. Lawrence offered us a ride...

"What stands out most about the hotel: the location makes it easy to walk to restaurants and shops or to grab a water taxi at the pier, the breakfast is delicious, our room was spacious and immaculate, the beds were super comfortable, the pool is wonderful to relax by and watch turtles, sharks and sea lions swim by."

"Very nice smaller hotel (around 20 rooms), super pleasant staff, very good hot served breakfast included, pool, hot showers, south east side of town, easy access to the Darwin Research Station and all the restaurants, shops and bars on the main street, easy walk to the fish market on the waterfront where there are sea lions, sea birds and iguanas. We would stay here again. "

"We only stayed overnight between the afternoon ferry from Isabela and the morning ferry to San Cristobal. It is difficult to rate the hotel as we were not there long. Our room did have a nice balcony with a hammock. The room had a mini fridge. The water in the shower was cool, couldn’t get it to go hot. The grounds of the hotel were nice and has a small pool.
