"Had a great 6 night stay Jul/Aug. The place is in a quiet area and the facilities are really good. the pool area did get busy at times but wasn't overcrowded. The room was good, some minor things but nothing that you would focus on. Breakfast was a good range and we did eat one night in the restuarant which was pleasant. The bar area was good at night. Would recommend."
"We stayed at the hotel as a party of 4 in 2 rooms for 4 nights, and it was an excellent base for getting out and about in Provence. The property is very clean and well maintained with ample secure parking. The outdoor pool is not very big but there appeared to be ample sun loungers and it was very refreshing at the end of a day’s sightseeing. The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette which was sufficient for us to prepare breakfasts, lunches and dinners but it should be noted this room is also your bedroom so easy on the garlic and onions!
There were food options on site and we did avail of breakfast on one day which was convenient and sufficient but overall not great value. We made more use of the local Boulanger and Lidl for breakfast. There are good grocery shops nearby, Lidl and a ‘U’ Express as well as take away pizza and rotisserie Chicken outlets.
It’s a bit of a stretch to associate the hotel with Aix en Provence as it’s actually in a town called Bouc Bel Air which is a 15-20 minute car drive away from Aix. There’s a bus stop at the end of the road to the hotel and the centre of Aix is a 30 minute bus ride. Aix is very pretty and well worth a visit.
One sullen member of staff aside, who maybe was having a bad day, I would recommend the hotel as an excellent base for touring the area. Clean, comfortable, well equipped and secure. It is more like a motel than a hotel and I would say that a car is essential."
