"Very small room, tired ( expected for the price) but clean. The surprise was that we were charged for having an assistance dog with us. Receptionist said everyone with an assistance dog has always paid / this doesn’t make it correct, but just like all the others before me, I paid, as we had a ferry to catch .However it is illegal to charge for an assistance dog."

"This hotel looks a bit dated from the outside but is very nice inside. The room I had was compact but very newly decorated and had a nice view of the loch. The hotel is a short walk to town for meals and the in-house breakfast is good"

"We’ve been traveling Scotland for a week and this was the most expensive stay, yet the accommodations were lacking. Cons: The bed sagged, you could hear people walking above you and the noise from the neighboring tv. Pros: it was clean, they had nice linens, and the staff were very friendly. Their restaurant was very good. Breakfast at the hotel had many options, however they were reluctant to refill after the tour bus left. Way too pricey for what we got. "

"This property is a very expensive disappointment. We woke up on our last morning with no heat, no hot water and no staff to contact until 10am after the check out time. Breakfast is cereal boxes and a few loaves of bread on table in a common room. The windows in our ground floor room did not lock on their own so also a safety risk for belongings and guests. We booked as a last resort and paid a lot to stay here. Please don't do the same."

"The ceiling in the bathroom was covered in mould it was room 37 the draft from the old windows was dreadful, rooms tiny but worst thing the walls were paper thin could here next door cough , snore and the voices , the bed my god had more lumps in it than porridge, check in wa 4 o’clock even premier inns are 3 pm and I offered to pay extra as we were there 2 hrs early as we had travelled hundreds of miles and they said no , we left at 8am next morning with out breakfast so for 16 hrs it cost £157 , we will not be back"

"Lovely property in a remote location with views all around. A small family staff manage to cover all the main jobs (check in, bar, cooking, restaurant service, breakfast etc), remaining calm throughout. Rooms are comfortable, warm and well supplied. Our meals in the restaurant were excellent. Nice lounge for drinks from the bar and evening games."
