"We enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Ami very much. The local scenery is spectacular and the location of Gasthof Ami is excellent for enjoying the surrounding area. We only used public transit or walking while visiting the area and that worked great. Downtown Nikko is a pleasant 1 hour walk. Or if you want the bus, the stop is a 5 or 10 minute walk from the hotel. Places such as Kegan Falls, Lake Chuzenji, Yudaki and Yumoto are all easy to get to on the bus. The room was very spacious and clean....

"The Yunomori onsen ryokan was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was incredible and the staff were 10/10 amazing. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us. "

"This spot was amazing all the way around. Like others have said given that it is a journey to get to, spend at least 2 nights. It was the perfect spot to slow down and relax. The food is amazing whether in the fancy dining room or in the cafe. The onsens overlooking nature and the waterfall were spectacular. "Yutorelo is located right along the main strip of Chuzenji Onsen, making it very convenient for catching the bus between Nikko Station and all the hikes heading up to Yudaki Onsen. The property itself is a very fun, young hostel vibe, with good WiFi and games (i.e. a collection of board games and ping pong), an efficient check-in/out process, and helpful staff. The view from the room and the lounge is also extraordinary."
