Holiday Inn Edinburgh by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"My room was very neat tidy clean and comfortable. It was very relaxing room and hotel with inclusions I.e swimming pool, sauna and bar with restaurant . The food was excellent and delivered to my table hot and well presented and without a long wait. The hotel is in a really good location with bus stops right at the entrance of hotel and just opposite which gives great access to Edinburgh city and airport in just 15 minutes with airport buses every 15 minutes from 04.00 to 00.35 daily. Would highly recommend this hotel. The zoo is also beside the hotel which can also be an added bonus. St John’s road full of shops and amenities 5 minute walk. 👍😊"
"Fantastic location walkable to all the major sites. Staff is amazing as is everybody in Scotland. Room had a king size bed and fantastic bedding, but the room was a bit small. We stayed on the ninth floor one below the top and could hear when people flushed the toilet above us with the water running through the pipes. So I would request a room on the top floor. Eat their restaurant, and that two was phenomenal and reasonably priced."
"room was not large but efficient. refrigerator did not work, had to get buckets of ice nightly. did not partake in the dining options. The location was great! across the street from the waverley station, cut through to go to new town. Right next to flesh market close a short cut up to the mile, very close to the scotsman steps and north bridge st. transportation easy to navigate, lots of food options all around, shopping everywhere. refrigerator was stocked daily with waters, lemonade, gin and tonics, beers, milk, coffees, teas, chips, and cookies. That was awesome. front desk printed out emailed tickets, no problem. great stay!"
"We loved our stay. It’s basic, beds were comfortable and shower was great. Huge breakfast options included in our stay and was cheap! Bus right out the front but a taxi service was available through the front desk. £8 to the heart of Edinburgh. But can be walked in about 35 mins. Will definitely stay here again "
