I hadn't been to Ely before and it was great for a short break & is well worth a visit. The cathedral was fabulous and the town centre is quaint with lots of lovely tea shops. The Octagon Tower tour at the cathedral was a particularly highlight.

Cathedral is beautiful, stained glass museum (I didn't have time for the Oliver Cromwell House), nice area by the river. Very walkable. Good train connections.

Small town with an impressive Cathedral and some cute shops. The Ely fudge shop is a must. You'll be drawn to it by the smell! Good for a weekend away. Not somewhere I'd spend longer than 2 days though as there's not a huge amount to do.

Ony had a short time to look around. Plenty to see/experience. Fine place. Will visit again, with more time to spend.
"A lovely find. All members of staff i came across were so helpful, spa and gym a lovely addition, rooms clean and spacious, and food excellent. I will be back."
"Lovely hotel off the beaten track, but within short distance of Newmarket Racecourse. Booked a standard double but Daisy the very helpful Receptionist upgraded the room to a Superior King. The room was large and very clean and the bed was comfortable. As an added bonus the bathroom had a spa bath which was amazing! Breakfast was good but the afternoon tea was fantastic! Fresh sandwiches, warm scones and delicious cakes and a bottomless teapot! Did not have dinner in the restaurant and unfortunately had no time to sample the spa. Will definitely be staying again in the future. Highly recommended."
"This is a great place to stay after long UK journal for us! Relax and enjoyable! Great location for a single day visit of University of Cambridge, and next morning leaving for London Heathrow Airport since it is just 2 minutes walk to the Cambridge train station. Daily rate is very reasonable considering huge/luxury space for my family! "
"Huge comfortable bed, standard king room was a great size, best of all zero noise outside the room, not a sound. Great choice of breakfast food, all very fesh, reasonable price. Parking on site and a bus stop accross the road takes you into central Cambridge or station."
