"Super friendly staff and gorgeous views of the lake and the volcanoes from our room! It was not the right weather to try the water slide but that would be ideal for kids!"

"The hotel is located on the lake, well maintained property with friendly staff. CAUTIOn; The rooms had mobile air conditioning units that were noisy; there was very loud music/ karaoke on weeknight that very annoyiny& disturbing. I do not recommend to get their promotional breakfast - you can easily get better tasting food with a wider variety within walking distance of the hotel. Rooms do not have safe on 1-4 floors?!"

"The gardens and views as well as restaurants and cafes are excellent! The service is very good. The rooms are basic and need some updating. The doors are hard to close with a key. The comforters are outdated and need to be replaced. The towels barely dry, so thin and old. If you are expecting luxury this is not the place. If you are looking for location. Views, food, clean accommodations and service this is your place!"

"I had a good stay overall, but there was one serious issue. Around 2 a.m., someone opened my door and tried to enter my room. I reported this to the receptionist, but was told there are no CCTV cameras in the common areas. For the safety of guests, I strongly recommend installing security cameras."

"Beautiful property in a great location. Food had no flavor at all, and was very bland. Bring enoigh cash as they dont take card. If youre canadian, you have even less payment options. I tried exchanging usd to Guatemala currency, but they dont accept anything less than $20 bills. "

"The lovely Hotel Villa Santa Catarina is Guatemalan-owned. Beautiful two pools, great view of the lake, and a short tuk-tuk ride to Panajachel. The restaurant on site is fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Room was spacious - no A/C, but not a problem with the cool lake breeze at night."

"Best service and incredible views. The B&B messaged us a few days before we arrived via WhatsApp and that was the method of communication throughout our stay. The restaurants Syrian food was amazing. I had the lentil soup. I was feeling under the weather and our host gave us some electrolytes. Again - wonderful service. Overall I would recommend this stay to anyone and everyone. "
