"The room and patio were very nice and the staff was terrific. We stayed at The English because it is close to the Smith Center for the Performing Arts. It's nice to find a boutique hotel in Vegas where you have free parking and don't have to walk a mile from the parking to your room or traipse through a noisy casino to get anywhere. The only negatives were inadequate parking (we had to park on the street), and the Todd English restaurant is now closed and being renovated by Marriott."

"Ate in a restaurant in the casino, great prime rib dinner! Room was fabulous and clean, gave me options of room on lower floor near elevator or higher floor with view in the back away from elevator. I appreciated that ! Beautiful room, clean and spacious. One of my favorites on my trip. "

"The El Cortez is a small, by Vegas standards, boutique hotel. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The property is older but they seem to be making updates. It is very convenient to go from room to casino- no 96 floors with a zillion elevators. It is not the typical posh Vegas Strip hotel, but it is small friendly with a casino whose slots are much looser than in the larger places."
