"We chose Hotel Alcatraz because of the comments on Hotels.com, and we were not disappointed. Our room was large, thoughtfully appointed, and very comfortable. They allowed us to leave our dogs in the room while we went to dinnerm, and they offered a great breakfast (at a cost) the next morning. I watched Maria squeeze my orange juice, and we both loved the fresh fruit and omelettes we had. Maria was attentive and willing to chat and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will definitely return."

"Beautiful hotel at the end of the Malecón. Excellent staff, beautiful room with a partial ocean view, and refreshing air conditioning! Very nice hot breakfast buffet with lots to choose from including fresh fruit. On the upper most level is a bar and bar snacks with a beautiful view. The swimming pool is 2 foot deep L shape which runs around the dining room room. Perfect for young kids. All in all we loved our stay here."
