There are many ways to get to the ruins, including the local shuttle buses (bearing the word "Ruinas"), taxis and tours. We opted for a taxi to get to the ruins and called the same driver to pick us up. There are plenty of guides at the site.

Palenque is a prime destination for everybody who wants to experience south Mexico. It has all kind of atractions and restaurants.
"3rd summer in a row visiting Palenque and this is our to go hotel, staff is always nice, friendly and respectful. We did have a small leak due to heavy rain but we are not super picky guests. Just hope they cleaned the pool tiles."
