Great location but too small, uncomfortable and dark room. You feel like sleeping in a closet. Only one of the rooms have A/C. Minimum amenities, no TV and the entrance is like a window: super difficult to identify as a door during the night and even more difficult to handle luggage through its tiny but steppy stair.

The location is excellent; the neighborhood is very nice and quiet. The hotel's entrance is almost on the corner, and it was quite difficult for me to find it, as it's extremely small and hard to distinguish. The place is generally very cool, clean, and in excellent condition. Neither the windows nor the doors isolate the noise. In my case, I had a room facing the street, and I could hear people walking and talking all the time. I could even hear the guest in the room across the hall, almost as if he were in my bed. The fact that the doors can only be opened from the app on the phone worries me a lot. What would have happened if I ran out of battery, if my phone was stolen, or if I had no internet? None of that happened, but I still worry.

Check-in was easy because it was all done online beforehand. You must have access to data in order to unlock the main doors and rooms as there are no keypads or keys. Overall, the area was quiet and clean, within easy walking distance to the Prado museum and shopping.

It was ideal for us. Perfect location near Retiro park and Prado museum. Self check in and out was easy, room was spacious and clean. Towels and hairdryer, 3 hangers. No view out of window and no telly but we didn’t mind as we were out exploring the city most of the time.

the room was clean and tidy. the mattress was a bit old and not in the best condition, but it was enough to sleep! the room doesn't have blankets and it could be a problem if you are very cold! overall it is a good value for money because of its location - 20-25 minutes walk to the main places in Madrid

The price was good and location. Room wasn’t bad except the fact the water would clog up in the bathroom was a horrible experience. There was water alllll over the floor. Had to use the towels to dry. I ended up not showering rest of my visit also my friend who came with me would have to minimize her shower time to like 2-3 mins and still would have water seeping out of the shower. Also they are very strict with guests. It was just me and my friend but then wanted to add another friend to a two bedroom room and said that wasn’t allowed. Besides that everything was good. It was very cold though as well no heater

Live in a basement, and tech only check-in hassle

The booking process is unclear, takes a lot of effort before you know that you can really enter the room, and the place doesnt even have a glass to use the water dispenser. All processes are tech based, but the tech is not a seamless experience. Also, you live in a basement.

The location was excellent but without any staff on site, many people stood for nearly an hour at the front door trying to figure out the system to get in. It was not explained very well and the instructions were confusing and poorly managed, from the customer's perspective. Once we learned the system, the rest worked out well. There was no one onsite to contact, and the number provided did not answer. Also, no one responded to email. The room and bathroom were clean. There was no television in the room. It felt like a dormitory room. Very basic. The shared bathroom was a surprise, but it worked out. The trick is to be the first one in to shower the night before. Also there were so many threats to be charged additional fees that it felt unwelcoming. If this is the future of AI Hoteling, I won't do it again. There has to be a human interface somewhere along the line.

I'm giving poor rate because I never find the hotel. I arrived around 12:30 am to the address indicated in the website I was surprised , no sign nothing that indicated the existence of this hotel. I asked to different police officers and none of them had idea about this hotel. I called a phone number on the website and they never responded. I have to walk with my wife around puerta del Sol to see where we could spend the night. Fortunately we found a hostal. I complained with Expedia and they processed a refund.

Poor experience, Dirty, Misrepresented photos

- Check-in process: very cumbersome. Not explained well. Slow. Confusing. I am very tech savvy, pro-self service; this is as bad as it can get. - Cleanliness: very dirty. Bed sheet were not changed from previous guest. Hair all over the bathroom, sheets, floor, towel. Towels also smelly. - Pictures on Hotels.com vs. reality: totally different. Dark room, poorly maintained. Much smaller than represented on pictures.
