Ok for a night, don't expect any soft furnishings.

The hotel room feels like a borstal room, not a single soft furnishing, shower cubicle opens directly in to the room, not drinks facilities, harsh lighting. It was clean though, and the bed was comfortable. No traffic noise. Glad it was just one night!

Budget means budget, below ibus budget normal stan

Found the room layout odd as shower in room and not in a bathroom. Noisey at night as can hear alarms going off for early starts and kids running diwn corridors ar 2.30am. Not hotels fault on the latter.

No frills hotel

Basic and functional room for an overnight stay. The hotel was located in Beaconsfield services which has plenty of parking and a great range of food choices. The hotel is a good choice for those who just need a bed for the night. Hotel was clean and the area felt safe.

Not great hotel

We asked for an extra pillow each and the receptionist said they would bring 2 but we never got them . The bed was very hard and in comfortable. We were not told that a coffee machine was available near the reception and as there wasn’t a kettle in the room I was gagging for a tea in the morning.

Variation between Ibis hotels

I have regularly stayed in Ibis hotels as they provide value for money. I had assumed that the Ibis brand would share common features and was surprised to find that facilities differ between different Ibis branded hotels. This one was very different standard to my previous experiences.

The a/c has a note saying it isn't an air conditioner but a air warmer or cooler. I failed to warm my room. Apart from that, the place was OK, reason value and well located within the service station facilities.
