The hotel itself is very nice, with a great ocean view, amenities, and location. Unfortunately, my checkout experience overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable stay.
While using a luggage cart that had just been handed to me by another guest, I was confronted by a hotel employee who spoke to me in a hostile and unprofessional manner. He accused me of taking the cart and made comments implying it was inappropriate for a guest to use it. Later, he approached me again to say only employees should use the carts, despite there being no visible policy restricting guest use of luggage carts and despite being offered a cart by the front desk at check-in.
I felt uncomfortable and did not appreciate the way the situation was handled. The employee did not apologize. I reported the incident to the front desk and a manager, who stated they would address it.
Experiencing this type of interaction during a vacation was disappointing. Because of this, I will not be returning and cannot recommend this hotel.
