I did not give 5 stars because no place is perfect. That said, my wife and I stayed at this location for the second year in a row, around the 4th of July holiday. That we came back should tell you something.
For both stays, we came because we could watch the Inner Harbor fireworks from the hotel's pool deck, thus avoiding the large Inner Harbor street crowds.
Aside from this feature though (and I forgot to mention that that these were staycations for us, because we live in the Baltimore area already), I like this hotel for two reasons: 1) It is literally right across the street from the Inner Harbor, downtown Baltimore's most famous attraction. You can get to anywhere, just by walking. 2) The hotel itself is very chill. There is a large atrium area on the second level that is never crowded and there is cool, soft mood music always playing in the public spaces. That was very relaxing to me. After a day of walking among Inner Harbor crowds, you know you can go back to a pretty laid back hotel environment.
Finally, there are four banks of elevators, so there is never any waiting and no crowds in them. The gym is also decent, with a variety of exercise equipment.
Maybe I would have given this place 5 stars if it had room service and a second restaurant option. But for what it is, I would recommend it, especially if you want to be in a calm place, yet right next to downtown Baltimore.
