The room saw better days several decades ago and was pretty much falling apart. There was a strong smell of mildew and was damp. The AC was running and was cold but somehow made the room very humid, to the point where my socks felt damp in the morning putting them on. Bed linen and towels were yellowed and stainedand and there were some type of sand or gravel all over the bathroom floor, maybe from the walls crumbling. The bed was uncomfortable and had 3 small hard pillows for two people on a king size bed. Clearly someone is not even trying. On the plus side breakfast surprisingly had bagels and cream cheese.
