Walkable to all things downtown Huntsville

I love this hotel, we have extended family that live in Huntsville and this was our second stay here. It is convenient (walkable) to all things downtown Huntsville has to offer, restaurants, museums, Big Springs Park, the arena, and the performing arts center. The hotel itself is slick, with big rooms, clean lines, and modern amenities.

Had a good time. Check-in was smooth and staff helped out whenever I needed them. Room was clean. Toilet is . . . square shaped and reminded me of Minecraft. An interesting shape for a toilet. I wish the rooms had more toiletries (like q-tips), but I understand that might be expecting too much. I appreciate the free water bottles at the reception desk.

The hotel was in a good location and everything was great. The only problem was when we went to the bar at around 11 on the night of our stay. We sat there for a good 5 or s minutes and the bartender ignored our presence. The gentleman she was talking to beside us told her three times that it looked like we needed a drink. She still ignored us. We left and heard her say thank you as we left. I guess we were not worth her time. It really irritated us.

Super Clean - Great downtown view!

The hotel was impeccable. We had hoped to utilize one of the bar and have tapas...but was told they closed early, because there "weren't many patrons". That seemed rather unfair to the patrons that were coming in for a stay for the Margarita Ball that evening. Also, there was no continental breakfast - said our per person charge was $14 for breakfast if we wanted to participate. We found this unusual for a class hotel such as this one was. Then we had friends come to check-in and they were told they couldn't have a downtown view, because they booked through a 3rd party. Even though the hotel wasn't full - they had to be a parking lot view. Just didn't feel those things were appropriate.

Cheap furnished

My stay was on a weekend and next to the Von Braun center so I expected the cost to be higher. The room was new, 4 years old and clean, the bathroom was nice and modern. The bed was very firm, the room had a couch that made a bed but was hard as a rock with a plastic type cover. The chair was even harder. The room was a suite, that was small, furnished with what I consider cheap uncomfortable furnishings. You are charged 10 dollars per day for self parking (this is Alabama people) just not right.The staff was very friendly and courteous, I expected more of the room for the money I paid, no matter the location. We have stayed in low cost suites that was more comfortable, also they only have maid service every other day.
