Immediately upon entering, I could smell the cigarette smoke for my non-smoking room. I called the front desk to see if I could be switched and I was told they all smell the same. We also killed a roach on the ground about 10 minutes into our stay and the bathroom had mold near the ceiling and door frame. The only redeeming quality is that we were situated near the pool and the breakfast was ok. I was hoping for true quality at an affordable price as the name of the hotel suggest but unfortunately, it was very rundown. Location is good, close to Oglethorpe Mall and lots of shopping and restaurants.

Old, torn carpet that was a humidity trap. In my bare feet it felt wet to walk on. Older structure needing updating. My husband cut himself getting into bed when one of the brackets holding the mattress was sticking out! Luckily we had a 1st aid kit. Pet friendly is the only real plus I can give it. Had trouble opening the door, breakfast was very basic. I guess you get what you pay for and we were on a budget, but we stayed at other "budget" hotels on this (nearly) 4,000 mile trip and all were far better for similar price.

I’m not one to complain but Hotels.com got me on this one. I would not have stayed if our kids had been with us. I can only assume the cut lines in the furniture were from the white powder often snorted in the nose. “Cigarettes burns” in the sheets and mattress pad. No inside privacy lock! The lamps were rusted and the grande finale was no smoke alarm!! When I complained about the smoke alarm and door lock to the front desk the lady got smart with me. Choice Hotels has a standard and this is NO WHERE close to meeting that standard.

I called ahead to find out if there was a shuttle from the hotel. She said no and then hung up on me. When I arrived at the same woman was behind the counter and she was irritable and rude. It was a clunky check in and she was dismissive. When I got to my room it was supposed to be non-smoking and it smelled like smoke. The bathroom drain was filthy and getting to the room was confusing without a map.

I had forgotten that I stayed here some years ago, visiting. I had to call the Health Department due to the severe black mold. And the lobby does not look like the picture anymore. I entered the room and it appeared fairly clean. The upholstered chair had stains though it was cleaned. the bed looked inviting just needed a step. I'm 5'8" and the top of the bed almost reached my butt which made it very hard to get up on. And once I got on.it was very uncomfortable. The bathroom; the commode barely reached my knees and there are no grab bars in the shower. To make matters worse, as I was packing my bag the male foreign attendant entered my room! It was just before check out time. Fortunately, I was dressed. I was upset and I did let him know it. He said, "I knocked," and I said "go away!" Not going back again. This used to be a very nice place and popular place to go for business meetings. family reunions and even a popular night club called Doubles back in the 80's. The change in ownership has brought this establishment down.

The hotel is older and a little ran down...but everthing in the room was clean and working..the people at front desk were helpful..about 35 mins from Tybee Island..5 mins. from mall..plenty to eat around..there was continental breakfast..but of course there were some company you preferred not to be around...but so far good stay

First off, the staff was not particularly friendly when I checked in. We had booked two rooms. Both rooms, though non-smoking smelled like cigarette smoke. The furniture was peeling/damaged in several places, the chair was stained and not something we wanted to sit on. The bathroom had no fan and therefore black mold in the corner of the ceiling. The A/C was so loud it woke me up several times every time it kicked on. The breakfast was not good at all (runny eggs and fatty, thin bacon). None of us would even touch it the second morning, other than juice and a piece of fruit. The worst part is the riff raff that tends to hang out at night. Our second night, the people next to us literally sat outside their door smoking and playing VERY LOUD music starting around 11pm (woke me up) and it went on until the early morning. I had asked them to turn it down but they didn't. Completely disrespectful of other guests, and no one from the hotel did anything about it. One of them even knocked on our door a little later. Freaked us out. We didn't answer, as we didn't feel safe. I would not recommend this place, nor would I stay here again. The only good thing was the beds were at least comfortable and the A/C, though loud, did keep it cool. I was actually grateful for the loudness the second night due to the loud neighbors, but I did not sleep well due to the noise and every time the A/C shut off, all I heard was the music blaring and the loud conversation.

I know it's a motel---but it has generally good reviews on here. I HAVE NEVER FELT AS UNSAFE AS I DID HERE. I should have turned around when the lobby wasn't open at night when we checked in--just a window. Lots of nefarious seeming activity in the parking lot at midnight. Stains on the bedding. And what appeared to be blood spattered on the wall. Spend another $50 and find something safer.

Wir waren für 3 Übernachtungen im Hotel. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber es war sauber, das Frühstück war ok. Das historische Zentrum ist zwar ein Stück weg, aber nicht weit vom Hotel entfernt fährt ein Bus in die Innenstadt für $1,50 oder man ruft einen Uber, wenn man nicht mit dem eigenen Auto fahren möchte.

Just went away for a few days with the wife. Nothing of note to complain about. The room was clean but bare bones, but we werent in the room much and just needed a place to sleep. Wpuld stay here again.
