Will not recommend and will not come back. We paid 1600 for 4 nights in August 2025. I visit NYC several times a year and stay at different hotels of the same price point in the same neighborhood. Sadly Hotel Edison is not comparable to its competitors, not even close.
Overall the lack of attention to details show that Hotel Edison is sloppy and the hotel doesn't really care about the guests' comfort.
- The bathroom really needs a hook. I don't understand why it is so difficult to add any hook to the bathroom. Just ONE would be helpful.
- The room we stayed in happened to be an accessible room, but I am not sure that's why there is no shower curtain, so the bathroom and toilet is wet the whole time, really annoying. There is no counter space in the bathroom sink.
- The toilet paper holder does not secure the toilet paper roll, so it keeps falling to the ground and even bounce into the toilet when you pull it out.
- The overall room decor was outdated and felt dark and dingy.
- The total lack of any surface or table in the room was so inconvenient. There was not a single chair or table to put stuff. We had to put everything on the floor or use ironing board as surface on the floor or on top of the folding fabric luggage stand. (There were 3 tiny nightstands that were already full of stuff like coffee machine and phone).
- Lobby was crowded, chaotic and outdated at all times. I like historical places and character, but they can keep it more comfortable than it is now.
