The hotel was undergoing maintenance which wasn’t made clear at the time of booking. Staff walked into our room without knocking. No clean towels were given unless asked for and there was hardly anyone around to ask. Staff were drinking cans of Stella on premises. Did not feel wanted at the hotel at all

Perfect friendly welcome from the lovely girl on reception, was transfered from a local crack den called Stifford Clays farm due to double booked so was so relieved to stay in such a nice hotel with friendly pleasant staff, would certainly stay here again

Absolute hole in the ground! I'd never stay again. I booked two nights, and gave up after the first night. Nobody at reception to talk to when I left in the morning. The bed base might looked like it had been made with pallets, and the mattress was just as uncomfortable. The window handle was broken, so couldn't be secured. The room was dirty and tired. Avoid like the plague, unless you want the plague!

Not what we expected….

Arrived to check in and there was a wedding party in progress. The proprietor had obviously double booked our room as he very quickly offered us a full refund but we were going to a party and had nowhere else to stay. They put us up in what was probably a member of staff’s quarters after they had removed the pizza boxes and other rubbish. The room was quite comfortable if noisy due to a window with no latch. There was quite a bit of writing on the wall which luckily given our state after the party was quite amusing.

Avoid this property. The room was cold a small portable electric heater . No wardrobes. A couple of hooks on the back of a door with no hangers. 1 small hand towel. I looked at the duvet and it was absolutely disgusting. Dirty, blood spots mould, burn holes. Manager was unrepentant so walked out. Condition of duvet so bad photos sent to Expedia.
