Check in was a 2 hour wait in line. Brutal. Slow as can be. Don’t check in between 4 and 7 - save yourself the time and check in later. Room was small. Bed was rickety but comfortable. Stayed 1 night.

Was a horrible hotel from check in to parking to horrible room. The only good thing was how close it is to the beach. Very rude customer service at check in. Almost 0 parking. No cups or dishes. Coffee pot but nothing to pour it into. Air conditioner was so loud you couldn’t sleep but room too hot to turn it off. Empty shampoo and conditioner bottles but set up as new. I never leave bad reviews to anyone but this place was super expensive with lots of add ons not advertised. Lots of better places for the same price. They really did suck

Our second room was only necessary because the hotel refused to let us cancel our stay. After the terrible experience in the first room, we tried to cancel the remaining night. The hotel rejected our request, forcing us to stay in a second room—which unfortunately had its own serious problems. Issues with the second room: - Hot water took over 10 minutes to appear: At first, there was no hot water at all. I even asked another guest, who explained that you have to let the water run for more than ten minutes before it heats up. Only then did it finally work. - Clogged bathtub: The bathtub didn’t drain properly, so we had to shower while standing in about two inches of accumulated water. - Poorly maintained bathroom: The tub had clearly been painted over multiple times, with peeling paint in several spots. The grout on the walls had also been painted over instead of cleaned—mold was simply covered with paint. - Strong mold smell: The entire room smelled of mold, making it uncomfortable and concerning from a health standpoint. - Internet was the only improvement: Unlike the first room, the Wi‑Fi actually worked here—but that was the only positive aspect. To add to the frustration, the property is advertised online as “The Palms,” but the real name is Hollywood Beach Hotels, which feels misleading

The worst “hotel” experience we’ve ever had. This property is not a single hotel but a collection of old buildings operated under one office. It’s obvious they simply painted over damaged areas to rent the rooms quickly, without fixing anything properly. The receptionist treated us poorly and complained about every reasonable request we made. We had booked two nights. After seeing the condition of the place, we tried to cancel, but they told us it was not possible. Major issues during our stay: - No internet: The Wi‑Fi network was completely unreachable from our first room. - Freezing room with no heating: We arrived on an unusually cold day, and the room had no heating system. After complaining, we were given a tiny electric heater that only warmed you if you sat directly in front of it. - No hot water: We couldn’t shower the first day. On the second day, someone finally came and explained that the hot/cold labels were placed incorrectly. - Destroyed sofabed mattress: You could feel every spring poking through. - Kitchen with no basic items: The room had a kitchen but no cutlery. We had to go to reception just to get utensils. - Room not prepared for our group: We were four people, but the room was set up for two—no extra towels, blankets, or bedding. Again, we had to go to reception to request everything. To make matters worse, the hotel is advertised online as “The Palms,” but that is not the real name. The actual property is Hollywood Beach Hotels, which feels mislea

Very bare bones, room was clean enough but very cold, no heat, no extra blankets. Just one overhead light, no plugs near nightstand. Confusing numbering of rooms, same room number but some have stars. It is very close to the beach. No coffee, or anything in room even though there is a coffee maker. No staff after hours.

The hotel accepted the reservation although they had no power and no generator. We have been unable to get a refund and very dissappointed. We booked the hotel because we had no power but we are in a different city. Since the hotel had no power and did not let us know we should have been able to cancel the reservation.
