The staff was beyond accommodating! I had a weird travel schedule and they were more than happy to help in any way they could. Storing luggage, allowing for late check out and even an early check in when the room became available!! The room was beyond my expectations and you cannot beat the location. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. I knocked a star off cleanliness because the bathroom sink drain needs to be unclogged (Room 110) -- slow draining. It was surprisingly quiet given its location because it is tucked down its own little alleyway, which gives the room a nice level of privacy. Parking was also surprisingly easy given its location. The location is great, right next to the PB boardwalk and beach. There is some brief ambient noise from (probably intoxicated) people out in the adjacent street late at night, but it is fairly muted in the room. This is just part of the PB night scene. The front desk is a block away at a sister hotel, but the staff was friendly and helpful.

It's the beach in San Diego for people who can't afford paying $300+ per night. If you're just going to chill at the beach, it's fine, but definitely a 70's motif. Plenty of good food/nightlife withing walking distances.
