Lovely hotel right across from the train station, centrally located which made getting around easy. The breakfast was first rate, the beds comfortable. The staff was lovely and helpful. We had a ton of luggage so being right across from the train station was a definite plus

We’re in love with this property and when we come back to Edinburgh we will definitely stay here again. It’s in a perfect location, the room was gorgeous and a great size. It was amazing.

10/10 Exceptional

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo. Greg’s impromptu history lesson about the portraits was fun and informative. Breakfast was lovely, and the wait staff were very accommodating. The location was great, just across the street from Waverley Station, and close to the Royal Mile. We definitely will stay there again if we return to Edinburgh.
Amy, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Fantastic staff, super helpful every step of the way even in an extremely busy time. Wonderful with holding bags prior to check-in and after check-out so we could continue to do tourism in Edinburgh. Very close to Waverly station so convenient for train travel. Walking distance to the Royal Mile and tons of tourist locations
John, 1-night trip

Lovely location from which to visit Edinburgh. Lots of transportation available. Easy walk to Old Town, shops, churches & pubs. Room was comfortable & clean. Bar was cozy. Needs a bit of an update but it’s nice

VERED, 6-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Hotel Indigo was the first hotel on our trip to Scotland. It was charming and lovely, with a very delicious breakfast in the morning. The hotel bar was fun and the bartender was so friendly. The room was smaller than expected, especially at the price of the room (nearly 400/night). Overall recommend.

6/10 Good

Nice but very small

We stayed for one night. Checking in was easy and the room was nice but much smaller than expected. No space for luggage and you had to size step around the bed to move around
Shayma, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We were thrilled to stay at the Hotel Indigo! It’s lovely and filled with charming character! Our view was second to none in room 301!! The staff were cheerful and helpful - especially Gemma! Our bed was very comfy. One night was not enough! We highly recommend staying here if the city core is your destination! Close to everything!
Denise, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

My room was on 5th floor but lift only went to 4th and I had to schlep my bags up the final flights of stairs. Such a pain.
TIMOTHY, 4-night trip

2/10 Poor

Our rooms AC was broken and was very hot all night. The next day when we checked out our train wasn't leaving for a few hours and we asked if we could keep our luggage at the hotel until our train departed so we wouldn't have to carry it around the city. The receptionist was very rude and told us they could not do it. I spent more than 500 dollars on a room for the night and this is how I was treated. Never staying there again. I never write reviews but this was ridiculous.
Edgar, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Good food, friendly staff, everyone helpful, central location
Andrew C, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Ryan, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great place and a wonderful location.
Johnny, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It was right next to the station and easy walking distance to the town
Caroline, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room we jad had no draws at all. Very difficult to put clothes away ended up keeping the clothes in our suitcase. Not ideal.
Harwinder Singh, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

It’s very convenient to Waverley and the bus station, which was very helpful, but there was construction on a building literally right out my window. Even with a sound machine, it was very noisy starting very early (often before 7 am) and ending at least 9 or later. Great location to many things in the city.
Denise, 7-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very nice hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. Close to the train station and plenty of public transport. Walking distance to the Royal Mile and the castle. Very vice, cosy, luxurious room.
Troy, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

The room was terrible. No outlet worked, the bed was uncomfortable/old mattress. The area surrounding it was unsafe.
Roxana, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

my room was lovely the staff are very nice and overall the hotel was very clean. It also very close to public transport which made it very convenient for travelling around.
Samiksha, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

Hotel and Staff were amazing, cannot fault in any way! Our room on the surface looked excellent but it was superficial, we booked a city view king room! View was incredible, large bed was great! But the flooring was all coming up and snagged clothes! Back of bathroom door was scuffed and hook hanging off! Just not quite the finish expected as per the rest of the hotel and the price paid!
