The property has been recently renovated and the bedroom was of a good size and the hotel is within walking distance to the main touristic attractions in Penang. The room in each we stayed was in the left side of the hotel, and at 6.15 am in the morning we would wake up with the prayers at the mosque. Breakfast is continental style - you can order omelettes, scrambled eggs or fried eggs cooked to order, there's tea, coffee and orange juice available, a hot station with Asian style noodles and fried rice, sausages, toast and cereal.

Compact room but due to king bed so I didn't mind at all as rooms only to sleep. Hotel & room were clean, staff were very helpful and accommodating. I was able to easily walk to the sights around Georgetown & hopped in grab for those further out. Little noisy at night with music from somewhere outside but our didn't continue to late.

Read good reviews prior to booking this hotel. Our experience was far from it. Musty room smell that never went away. Frayed towel edges. Bed sheets stained even though they were fresh sheets. Shower had no hot water, had to notify reception to get it fixed. 2 toasters not enough during breakfast.

Overall it's good. Only one trivial thing might cause me inconvenient. The hotel room system or somewhat does not align. I have requested to change a room due to A/C is blowing to my bed while laying on the bed. After I changed the room, I got two phone call asked me to change the room as well as provide the current room number. The second call was happening while I was taking an afternoon nap.

The room was dirty on checking in. Floor, walls, bed sheets, pillow cases and bathroom were all dirty. It was pretty gross. We suspect there were also bed bugs as we felt quite itchy in bed and had red bite marks on our legs. We were only provided 2 towels for showering, no small hand towels. The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything outside and in adjacent rooms. The facilities were minimal and aircondition kept making noises whilst turned on.

Lost my hotel room card and admitted during check out. Was charged RM20 for it, which I didn’t mind since it was my fault I misplaced it. No receipt for that either. Handed the frontdesk staff a RM100 note. She returned me 20 pieces of RM1, and notes amounting to RM80 in total. When I asked what she meant by that, she took the notes back and handed me a RM20 note instead. The contempt in her response was disappointing. And I haven’t even started on the room.
