Loved all the complimentary services from snacks and the laundry service was a god send all free done by them too. Breakfast was great quality too. The Magic Castle Hotel was everything we could dream of and more! Upon arrival, the staff tended to up personally welcoming us with bubbly juice and champagne. Our Guest services assistant was very attentive to us upon check in and even offered us a room upgrade as hotel first timers. The property was beautiful, well maintained, and a kids and parents paradise. The amenities offered right down to the free snacks, and popsicle hotline were a what dreams are made of for a Hollywood adventure with kiddos! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the area, it is very walkable and public transportation is easily available near by. Thank you to the Hotel staff for truly making our stay Magical in every way!

The staff really make this quirky little hotel special. Nothing seems too much bother and they do everything with a smile. They interact with all their guests and without exception were friendly and welcoming. Kids (and the big kids too) love the ‘popsicle hotline at the pool snacks, ice cream and juice that is all freely available all day. Hotel is very close to the Hollywood Boulevard landmarks and a lovely big shopping mall, all less than a 5 minute walk. Rooms are basic (reminded us of student halls) but they are air conditioned and equipped with everything you will need for a short stay including a hair drier and iron. It’s not luxurious but for the price it’s clean and relatively comfortable. Definitely a fun place to base yourself for an LA trip.

Great staff. They remembered everyone by name. Helpful with luggage. Remember to request 1st floor if disabled. There are stairs from parking lot and all floors. There is a small elevator on the outside entrance to get you up and down those stairs to the lobby and the rest of the resort. Free snacks, ice cream, non alcolholic drinks, 24 hot heated pool, popcicle hotline and breakfast were wonderful amenities.

If you want to be in Hollywood the location is unbeatable. You can walk to all the famous sites. The property is old but charming. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. It's old and not very luxurious, but very charming. We enjoyed it very much.

Amazing staff and attitude

The hotel itself is somewhat worn and old, but the beds were clean and comfy and the staff were absolutely amazing - very welcoming, kind, generous, helpful and accommodating to our needs. Each staff member we encountered was just wonderful and their attitude made up for the shortfalls in the physical property.

Layout of room and building was awesome. Excellent service (friendly and fun staff). Free snacks (which is very rare these days and puts the service in its own level). Best coffee of any hotel I have been in. It even had its own self-serve coke machine. I traveled a lot and there is no other hotel that can compare for the price.

Best Hotel Ever

We absolutely loved it here. It was a true respite while visiting LA. The kids agreed is the best place they've ever stayed. The complimentary items were a hit with all of us. And, the staff made the stay so pleasant. We may come back to LA just to stay and relax at the Magic Castle Hotel.
