I’ve traveled extensively around the world and rarely had an experience this disappointing. I live in Virginia and wanted to treat my daughter to a year-end vacation. We carefully planned our trip and arrived at the hotel right at the stated check-in time of 4 PM.
Our credit cards were promptly authorized, and we were told we’d receive a message when the room was ready. We finally got into our room at 5 PM. Just 15 minutes later, we headed to the beach—something my daughter was really excited about—but were told we couldn’t get towels because our names weren’t on the list.
After spending some time at the beach, we went to the pool, only to be told it closes at 6 PM. We were allowed to sit on the lounge chairs, but that was all. The room was extremely noisy—street noise made it hard to relax or sleep. If you don’t use valet parking, you’re met with uncomfortable stares the next day.
Despite charging a daily $85+tax resort fee, the only thing that seemed to be included was a towel we weren’t even allowed to use. The worst part? We were charged the full resort fee even though we didn’t get access to services until 5 PM, and they closed by 6 PM.
To top it all off, while on our way home, I noticed an additional $37 charge on my credit card—without any explanation or prior notice.
Overall, this was a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel—you’re likely to leave feeling disrespected and dissatisfied.
