No tv available unless you hook your own account to it. No internet connection. We were there during NCAA finals, so husband was very unhappy without TV. Won’t go back. Wanted to charge $50 to check in one hour early, even if room was ready. Found alcohol pouches in freezer of the little refrigerator left from past guest, check in clerk was surprised.

The bed was one of the softest ever; it felt great. The price was unbeatable. Location sketchy, but the property was safe, and the security was great. The hotel also has beautiful photos and black history all around.

Café da manhã muito bom para estados unidos. Perto do Porto de Miami. Boa alternativa para quem vai pegar cruzeiro. Falta uma lixeira no banheiro e lugar para tomar o café da manhã, mas nada que onere o hotel.

We found this little gem when we got stuck in Miami. It was just what we needed to lift our spirits. The decor was lovingly curated to capture the jazz era. We stayed in the Josephine Baker room and learned about her unique history. The bed was super comfy, the shower was hot with great pressure, and the A/C worked like a charm. The concierge was very kind and inviting. Skip the chain hotels and give this one a try!

The staff was very friendly. I have to give a special shoutout to Deborah who was very friendly and accommodating. The room sadly did have two roaches in it. I killed them myself, and thankfully there weren't any after that. The water pressure on the shower could have been better. The chair in the room had a broken leg and I couldn't sit in it. The t.v was very limiting. Those last three things were kind of minor in the grand scheme of things, but I just wanted to point that out. Otherwise the bed and pillows were great. The a.c worked well. So overall it was a net positive.

If you want a comfortable hotel, with some great history on display, this is the place to stay. Some of the room/bathroom decor looked a little tired - but the hosts were very welcoming and more than made up for this and the room was very comfortable.

AC was perfect. The room was very nice .The staff was very helpful.We got lots of good advices. Private parkering for quests.It was easy to walk to the nearest buss(100)which took us to South Beach. This hotel is worth a stay.

Walking distance to downtown Miami, and close proximity to the cruise port. Hotel is located in the old black Harlem district with many previous black authors, artists, musicians, sports figures, and actors who have stayed there. Very impressive history of this hotel.
