The property is rather "weathered" and needs upgrading. Window screens were bent, and the windows didn't fit in the casing - I'll fitting and drafty. We stayed in a junior suite which was much better than our friend's standard room. The breakfast was actually very good (eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, biscuits & gravy) and the staff was very pleasant. Overall, the property just needs some TLC and upgrading, but it completely served our purpose. We're not overly picky and it was nicer than a chain hotel

The room we stayed in was absolutely super cute and extremely spacious! The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was fabulous. There were fire tables just outside our front door and it was quiet and within walking distance to the lighthouse.

We've stayed at the suites half a dozen times and loved it, especially it's proximity to Asilomar Beach (5 minute walk). Stayed at the cottages and my only complaint is that the rooms got a little stuffy at night and no AC. Tried to turn on the fan to no avail.

I planned a surprise overnight getaway for my hubby. I was very excited about this place but that feeling quickly fizzled. I was actually disappointed in this very spacious cottage. The bed was lumpy and the linen was dingy. The caulking in the bathroom looked like it had been applied by a 5 year old. We never could get the ac to kick on. Paid way too much for this sub par room/cottage.

Location is nice. Cottage was spacious, the interior was overall decent a bit beat up would be the best way i could describe it. The bed was very firm and the pillows were not great. A portion of the driveway to the back cottages is being pushed up by tree roots and makes for quite the speed bump, not ideal for smaller/ lower cars. I was pleasantly surprised buy the breakfast buffet. It was very good, fresh and plentiful options. We unfortunately did not get to enjoy the fire pit area due to the rain. Overall a decent stay.

The property was very charming and in a wonderful location in Pacific Grove. You could walk to the beach in 10 minutes and explore the tide pools. Also a 10 min drive into Monterey to the aquarium and Cannery Row. So much to do and see. The rooms were well sized, but so many things were just a bit broken - doors that wouldn’t shut, broken screens and drapes, plug for the tub, etc. I wouldn’t say the room was unclean but the room needed some TLC. Other than that, it was a wonderful breakfast, wonderfully warm pool and hot tub, and for the value it was an overall good stay.

I had stayed at the Light House Lodge in years past. Since then, the property has undergone some renovations and changes. I was sadly disappointed by those changes, but perhaps that was me looking to relive the past. I would not recommend this hotel to family and friends at this time.
