A lot of people were hanging about the hotel. The office closed at 7pm. Every night someone knocked on our room door. One night it was twice. Our room key would not stay keyed to the room, so we had to make it back to the hotel to rekey the card before the office closed. Every single day of our four day stay.

I specifically booked this hotel because it advertised the room as smoke-free. Unfortunately, the moment I opened the door, I was hit with a strong and horrible cigarette smell. It was very obvious that the room had been smoked in, despite being listed as non-smoking. The odor was so strong that I could not stay, so I left the room right away. Hotels should ensure that rooms advertised as non-smoking truly meet that standard. I’m still expecting my full refund.

The front desk clerk was excellent so I’ll give credit where credit was due, however, the hotel was crowded with homeless people in the parking lot looking in our car windows and asking us if we were bondmens. Once we were in the room we noticed where the police had fingerprinted the room. We decided it wasn’t safe and requested a refund wbu h we were granted. This is not a comforting place for a family.
